State Prayer Points and Praise Reports

Religious Liberty Legislation

Continue praying consistently and fervently for the successful passage of legislation that effectively protects our Judeo-Christian heritage and religious liberty.

GA: State of Georgia Drops Some Demands, But Still Not Enough

“At a press conference on October 26, Walsh announced his refusal to comply with the unconstitutional demand to turn over his sermons. Soon after the press conference, the state retreated on demand 18, the demand for Walsh’s sermon notes and transcripts. However, the State of Georgia has not withdrawn all their legal demands.”

NC: Update On Legislative Prayer

“The Fourth Circuit issued an order granting a rehearing en banc in Lund v. Rowan County.  In September, a three-judge panel issued a decision upholding the county’s prayer practice, but plaintiffs filed a petition for rehearing, which was granted.  The case is tentatively scheduled for oral argument during January 24-26.  As amici, the brief filed on behalf of the Members of Congress will be refiled with the court at this stage.”

NJ: First Liberty Backs Neighborhood Synagogue

“A neighborhood in Millburn, New Jersey is attempting to force an Orthodox Jewish Synagogue out because it meets in a home. But First Liberty Institute is standing with the synagogue members and their religious liberty rights.”

WA: Court Due To Rule On Case Soon

Barronelle Stutzman’s continuing struggle for religious freedom should be alarming not only to every Christian, but to every American who cherishes freedom. Barronelle is a floral artist … and a grandmother. She is being sued both professionally and personally by the Washington State attorney general and the ACLU. If she loses, they could take everything she owns —  her business, her home, and her life savings. Everything.

“The B.C. Court of Appeal has upheld the right of future graduates of the faith-based Trinity Western University (TWU) Law School to practise law in the province. The ruling upholds a previous decision made by a B.C.
