Legislators and Pastors Unite in Prayer in Springfield
April 27, 2017

On April 5th, as the clock struck 12 noon, the Hall of Flags at the capitol in Springfield, Illinois, was filled with legislators and pastors who were earnestly turning to God in prayer for their state and nation.

Illinois Prayer Caucus Chairman Senator McCann, Senator Bivens and Senator McConchie each spoke about the importance of prayer, and emphasized the need to partner prayer with action. Prayer is vital, and we must also use our resources, gifts, and talents to make a positive impact.

Following the remarks, Delbra Pratt, Illinois Prayer Caucus Network State Director, facilitated an hour of prayer as pastors stepped to the microphone in humble prayer and petition.

The feedback was overwhelming as Illinoisans were inspired to continue in steadfast intercession and action at a time when our nation needs it most.

Will you pray for these elected officials, and for continued strategy and unity among the Illinois faith community?
