Attorney’s Seeking Broader Conscience Protections From White House
“In May, President Trump signed an executive order entitled, ‘Promoting Free Speech and Religious Liberty,’ that included conscience protections for religious entities in regards to the HHS contraception mandate that forces insurers to pay for some contraceptives and abortifacient drugs. The First Liberty Institute, a non-profit legal organization, is urging the White House to enact an even broader rule to protect Americans’ religious freedoms.”

India: Anti-Conversion Law Instituted
“Since the Hindu-nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took over India’s national government in 2014, religious minorities have complained about increased harassment. Incidents of abuse have gotten worse over the past few months, with various Christians being detained or arrested for ‘attempted conversion,’ and places of worship being vandalized.”

Continue praying consistently and fervently for the successful passage of legislation that effectively protects our Judeo-Christian heritage and religious liberty. Also, pray that bills and resolutions that undermine our First Amendment Rights will be unsuccessful.

IN: CEF Win Injunction Against School District
“…an Indiana Federal District Court granted Child Evangelism Fellowship’s (CEF) requests for a preliminary injunction against an unconstitutional policy that the district used to discriminate against Good News Clubs. Liberty Counsel represents CEF nationwide. One of the ministries of CEF is Good News Clubs for children K-5.”
NC: Commissioners Still Deciding Whether To Appeal Case
“After first being told by a court they could pray based on their faith – and then being told they couldn’t – commissioners in Rowan County, North Carolina, are considering whether to take their case to the Supreme Court…Rowan County commissioners have 90 days in which to decide whether to appeal the case to the U.S. Supreme Court. The case is Lund v. Rowan County.” Contact the Commissioners to let them know you stand with their right to pray in a public setting, and encourage them to appeal the case to the United States Supreme Court.
WI: Photographer Asks Court to Halt Government Control of Artistic Expression
“Amy Lawson owns Amy Lynn Photography Studio in Madison, Wisconsin. Under the laws that ADF is seeking to suspend, Amy and her studio are required to create photographs and blog posts promoting pro-abortion groups and same-sex marriages if she creates content that promotes pro-life organizations or that celebrates the marriage of one man and one woman.”
