New Year – New Hope
January 4, 2010

Let’s take a minute and give thanks to God for all He did for us in 2009.

Politically we have witnessed history-making changes – some good, some not so good. However, God has established righteous, prayerful leaders in our government, businesses, schools – positions of power – that are not willing to compromise. Let’s continue to pray for the numbers to increase.

Economically we have faced numerous challenges, however we serve a God of hope and we still live in the best nation in the world.

In regard to our religious freedom, people of faith have unified on many fronts to see victories in the areas of the sanctity of marriage, freedom of speech, etc. Well done – let’s keep pressing in!

Personally, there have been many changes, challenges, and blessings. Our Father in Heaven is in control. He promises that His plan for us is good and not of evil to give us a future and a hope.  He does not lie. Let’s keep contending for His promises to manifest in our lives and nation.

2010 has the potential of being a very good year. Let’s start the year off right by taking time to rededicate ourselves and this nation to God – asking Him to restructure, reorder, and reignite us so that we are properly positioned in the center of His best for us as His people. Let’s choose to walk humbly before Him, make Him our first and most important priority, and be willing to do what it takes to see His blessing on our lives and this nation.

Deuteronomy 28 states the blessings that will overcome the obedient. Let’s choose to be recklessly abandoned and radically obedient to our Lord and Savior this year – seeking His face – walking in His ways.  The choice is ours. Give, love, laugh… and choose to Trust God Again.
